An intangible cultural heritage artwork creative competition began in Yinchuan, capital of Northwest China's Ningxia Hui autonomous region, on July 9. A showcase of cultures along the Yellow River basin, this event brings together dazzling artistic creations from 143 outstanding intangible cultural heritage inheritors.

Many traditional techniques, such as tie-dyeing, brocade and embroidery, carving and engraving, paper-cutting, pottery and musical instrument production, are featured. After the competition, 100 handicrafts will be sold in August to promote the integration of intangible cultural heritage and modern life.
